ABOUT THE 7s SERIES

The Beacon Hospital All-Ireland 7s Series showcases some of the country’s finest athletes from right across Ireland with over 1,100 players competing in the series across all four codes. After a 2-year pandemic-enforced break we look forward to renewing old acquaintances and the running of this unique series. This is a ground-breaking year for the 7’s as it is the first time in the events 49-year history that all four codes have come together under the one title sponsor. It is also a pleasure to be associated with the GAA, LGFA & Camogie Association at a national level through these prestigious competitions.

The 7’s Series at Kilmacud Crokes have a long and proud history of providing clubs with an ideal platform to showcase their talent in what is always a fiercely contested competition. In addition, its annual fixture on the eve of the All-Ireland Finals means that it is a traditional gathering spot for the supporters of the teams participating in the senior finals the following day. Renowned as a major sporting and social event it is also well known as the place to find that elusive ticket to the All-Ireland Final.

The competition could not be staged without the massive cross club support and spirit of voluntarism with approximately 800 volunteers involved over the course of the four weekends.

"On behalf of the Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Committee I am delighted to welcome you to Glenalbyn. The Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Sevens Hurling event is the centre-piece of the hurling calendar and this year represents the 47th running of the event. After a 2 year pandemic-enforced break we look forward to renewing old acquaintances and the running of this unique hurling event."

"On behalf of the Football Committee, I am delighted to welcome everyone to the Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Football 7's. It is an honour for us in Kilmacud Crokes to host so many teams who have travelled from all over Ireland. This is the 50th anniversary of this competition and it continues to be very much part of the All-Ireland Football Final weekend. We have not hosted the competition since 2019 so we are really looking forward to a day of top class football plus the opportunity to meet with friends old and new."

— Pat Horgan, Football Chairperson

"Hello everyone and a very big welcome to Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club on one of the biggest days in the year for Ladies Football in our club. After a 2 year break we are delighted to have the top U15 teams from nearly every county in the country. This is our 17th year running this tournament and each year the standard of football improves and it will be obvious that there is strength in depth right across the country when you witness the talent on display on the day."

— Tony Hamill, Ladies Football Chairperson

"Céad mile fáilte to the 2022 Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Camogie 7s from Kilmacud Crokes. We’re delighted to be able to bring everyone back to Stillorgan after two years of virtual events for what is the 49th year of our camogie 7s competition. We’re very proud to be hosting this year’s event as part of the Beacon Hospital 7s Series which for the first time ever sees all four of our codes given equal support by a single sponsor. Thanks to Beacon Hospital, our other supporters and all our volunteers who make the event possible. We wish all our entrants every success in the competition and safe travel to and from the event. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh go léir."
