A MESSAGE FROM KILMACUD CROKES FORMER CHAIRMAN, KEVIN FOLEY
This coming together across all four Gaelic codes is a tremendous innovation and is a significant statement in support of equality of participation between men and
women in sport.
On Monday 27th June 2022, the launch of the Beacon Hospital All-Ireland 7s Series took place in Croke Park. It was an exciting return to the series, after having been postponed for 2 years due to the pandemic. 2022 is a milestone as it is the first time all 4 codes of hurling, football, camogie and ladies football will be supported by one title sponsor. Kevin Foley, Club Chairman of Kilmacud Crokes spoke at the launch. “The Beacon Hospital All Ireland 7s Series will attract visitors from around the country and abroad to great days in the Hurling, Football, Ladies Football and Camogie calendars. This coming together across all four Gaelic codes is a tremendous innovation and is a significant statement in support of equality of participation between men and women in sport”. Across all 4 codes over 1,100 players participate over the four weekends. The Series would not be possible without the 800 plus volunteers from Kilmacud Crokes who help run the events.
